Rev. Dr. Abenda F. Tamba is the current General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Liberia, Inc. A distinguished minister, educator, and leader, he has dedicated his life to advancing the Gospel and strengthening the church across Liberia and beyond.

He has faithfully pastored Zion Assemblies of God Church since its establishment in 1988 and continues to serve in that role to this day. Since 1999, he has also been an instructor at the Liberia Assemblies of God Bible College, where he plays a vital role in the formation of future ministers and church leaders.

Rev. Dr. Tamba has held several key leadership positions within the Assemblies of God Liberia, Inc., including Presbyter Monrovia District Section One (1997–2004), Monrovia District Superintendent (2004–2009), and Assistant General Superintendent (2014–2023), prior to becoming the General Superintendent in 2022.

His academic journey began at Booker Washington Institute, from which he graduated in 1987. He pursued theological studies at the Liberia Assemblies of God Bible College (1988–1990), and later earned a Bachelor of Theology from the West Africa Advanced School of Theology in Lomé, Togo (1999). He went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Christian Education from the Assemblies of God Graduate School of Theology in Lomé (2004), and in 2020, he completed a Doctor of Ministry in Congregational Mission and Leadership at Luther Seminary in Minnesota, USA.

Rev. Dr. Tamba is a passionate pastor, evangelist, church planter, and revivalist. He is a sought-after conference speaker, a skilled marriage counselor, and a visionary leader known for his commitment to the growth of the church and the development of Christian leaders.

He has been married to Rev. Comfort Tamba since 1987. Together, they serve as a powerful ministry team, inspiring many through their dedication and example.
