The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Liberia, Rev. Dr. Abenda F. Tamba, who also serves as the West Africa Regional President of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Africa (PAOA), will represent Liberia at the PAOA Summit in Lusaka, Zambia, from September 1-2, 2025.
This important continental gathering will bring together leaders from across Africa to strengthen collaboration, deepen fellowship, and strategize on advancing the Great Commission. The summit will be hosted by Bishop Dr. Joshua H. K. Banda, President of PAOA, along with the Executive Committee.
Liberia’s Role in Strengthening Regional Pentecostal Unity
As West Africa Regional President, our General Superintendent will play a central role in the deliberations, working alongside other regional leaders from East, South, and North Africa. The summit will address vital issues, including leadership development, strengthening PAOA membership participation, and building a united voice for Pentecostal churches across the continent.
Inaugural PAOA Women’s Conference
Following the summit, from September 2–4, 2025, our General Superintendent will also attend the first-ever PAOA Women’s Conference, together with the National Women Ministry Leadership from Liberia. This historic gathering is designed to empower women leaders, foster mentorship, and expand women’s ministry impact across Africa.
The inaugural conference is expected to inspire fresh momentum for women in ministry and provide a platform for addressing gender-specific challenges while celebrating the significant contributions of women to the growth of the church.
